Hello, I'm Emma and welcome to Emma's at Oxford.  A unique Book/Gift Store in Oxford, North Canterbury.  A short (and picturesque) 45 minute drive from Central Christchurch. Emma’s at Oxford opened in June 2007 when ‘opportunity whispered’ whilst attending a Jo Seagar Cook School.   After a stressful career in corporate retail I was ready to ‘do something radical, different and for myself’ that had to incorporate my love of food, cooking and cookbooks.  Relocating from Auckland to the picturesque country town of Oxford, we have has gone from strength to strength since opening with a greatly expanded range from the initial offering becoming as some call it, “the best little book shop in Canterbury”.  However, Emma’s is not just about books.  There is a fantastic range of Giftware ‘we like to think we have something for everyone’ and a range of Gourmet Food ingredients including the highly acclaimed Heilala Pure Vanilla range which is used and endorsed by Jo Seagar in her Cook School.  At Emma's you will find a lovely haven away from all the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the eclectic range of books and gifts on offer.  Whilst specialising in Cookbooks there is also an extensive range of Novels, books on key topics such as New Zealand and Gardening.  The children's section is also highly commended by the many teachers who shop here.  Emma’s has a team of five fantastic people all with the same goal in mind – to ensure customers have a top experience as they shop and we all firmly believe in exceptional customer service that sometimes goes above and beyond the call of duty. Says Emma, “my staff and I have even been known to deliver gifts or orders on our way home from work to ensure they reach their intended recipients in time – like the cupcake cases for the christening or the special gift for Granny.”
